Truthfully, when you hear the name Gap, clothes would not be the first thing you think of. However, it was only after I visited the store that I leant that it had actually been I existence since 1969. Founded by Donald and Doris Fisher, the company has quickly grown and expanded to various pats of the world. Today it has over 135,000 employees and over 3,000 stores all over the world today.

I am not much of a fashion lover, so I guess that is why I had not heard of the company and I was missing out on a lot. Good thing my sister took me to Gap Canada, and she took me at the time when I needed it the most. I always like to tell her that it was fate that made her decide to take me there. From the minute we entered the store, I knew I was in the right place. Their clothes were so well displayed; it made it easy for me to fall in love with many of their items. I remember the first T-shirt I bought there; I wanted to wear it every single day. The thing was just so comfortable and so like my style that I felt it was all I wanted to wear. I was sceptical to go the store, which is why I had neither carried my credit card, nor any cash with me. The T-shirt was bought by my sister, after a lot of pleading and insisting from me.

The store or company was originally meant to carry clothes for the younger generation, which is why it was usually referred to as generation gap. However, over the years, their accessories and clothes became suitable for all and everyone. Regardless of what age you are today, you are guaranteed to find something that is fitting and suitable for you at gap. It is not only the young people who get to wear the best and most fashionable clothes. You too can do the same.
